Helen Wangui Githaiga

It is with the humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Helen Wangui Githaiga on 13th November, 2023, in Nairobi, after a long illness bravely borne.

Daughter to the late Joseph Wambugu Mathini and the late Zelipah Wamucii and the late Beatrice Wacuka.

Loving wife to the late Medad Ngunjiri Githaiga. Loving mother to Joseph Wambugu Githaiga and Agnes Muthoni, Andrew Kuria Githaiga and Nardos Hagos, Catherine Wangari Githaiga and Anne Muthoni Githaiga.

Daughter-in-law to the late Gibson Githaiga Ngunjiri & the late Rose Nyothaya Githaiga.

Loving grandmother to Christian Kagombe, Makena Wangui Seii-Githaiga and Isabella Wangui Githaiga. Helen was a beloved sister, sister-in-law, aunt and grandaunt to many in the Githaiga and Wambugu families.

The memorial service will be held at St. Andrew’s Church, Nairobi on Wednesday 22nd November 2023 at 10.00am.

The cortege leaves Outspan Funeral Home in Nyeri at 8:30am for the burial service which will take place at Miagayu-ini PCEA Church, Kimathi Parish, Nyeri on Thursday 23rd November 2023 at 10.00am.
