Hellen Makena Munene

With sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the sudden death of Hellen Makena Munene on 8th December 2018. A distinguished teacher, wife, mother, loving sister and a faithful servant of God.

Daughter of Mzee Stephano M’Rutere, Naomi Irangu and Rael Nthangi. Devoted wife of Paul Munene. Loving mother of Alex Mwirigi, Doris Kathambi, Bessy Karimi and Stephen Kiriinya. Mother-in-law of Arthur Kamau and David Macharia. Doting grandmother of Murugi, Wanja, Njuguna, Vivian, Nkirote and Mutethia. Daughter-in-law of Dedan and Naomi M’Mboroki. Hellen grew up surrounded by loving siblings Peter Nturibi, Charity Kaagi, Rosemary Kathure, George Kirianki, Ruth Gikundi, Miruri, Mwenda, Mworia, Lady Justice Martha Koome, Mururu, Kithure Florence, Lydia, Richard, Catherine, Mbabu and Muthomi.

Family and friends are meeting at her home in Mbeu every day from 10th to 12th, 2018 from 4.30pm.

The Cortege will leave Kibugi Funeral Home in Kirinyaga County on the 13th December, 2018 at 6 am for funeral service to be followed by burial the same day at her home in Mbeu location Meru County.
