Appreciation

The entire family of Mrs Hellen Moraa Maranga wishes to extend our sincere appreciation for the overwhelming support and expression of sympathy and love from family, relatives, neighbours, friends, work colleagues past and present and many others.

We were touched by the countless visits, text messages, emails, prayers, condolence messages and words of sympathy during our moments of sorrow and sadness. We shall forever be indebted to the community in Sydney who cared for Mum during her illness; MND (NSW) Association Hills Community health, Dr Ruiz, Dr. Ali and the team at St Joseph’s hospital, Abagusii Association of Australia (AAA).

In Nairobi, gratitude go to Lee Funeral Home and its affiliates. Our heartfelt gratitude to Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiangi, HE Hon Amos Kimwomi Nyaribo-Governor Nyamira County and his administration, HE Hon Adelina Mwau Deputy Governor Makueni County, Hon Jared Kangwana, Dr. P.J Simba EGH, Mohamed Nyaoga — Chairman of Central Bank, Commissioner Ken Nyaundi. We also gratefully appreciate AAA growers, Africa Welfare Association and many service providers including the Kenya Police Service — through OCPD Borabu, and other service providers during the interment.Thank you so much for all you did.

We wish to record our gratitude to the funeral organizing committees in Kisii and Nairobi led by Dr. Charles Bosire Kerongo and Philip Nyangena. You were very thoughtful and guided the funeral arrangements with grace and dignity. We thank our Sechero Uncles and Aunts led by Justice SEO Bosire, Sechero group cousins and our nieces and nephews for standing with and by us throughout this process. Our Mainda family Uncles and Aunts and our cousins led by Dr. Steve Omenge and Prof. George Agoki joined us in prayer weekly throughout Mum’s illness, stood by our side during the funeral planning and after, and provided solace for us. Your kind gesture was highly appreciated and will never be forgotten or taken for granted.

Sincere gratitude to the SDA family far and wide for their ministry and prayers, Thornleigh SDA church in Sydney, Nairobi Central SDA church, Kahawa Sukari SDA Church, Ribwago SDA Church.

We are grateful to the following pastors for their ministry during Mum’s illness and after she rested, Pastor Fred Omenge in USA, Pastor Alex in Sydney, Pastor Gerald Mochoge, Pastor Wariba, Pastor Maina, Pastor Masese, Pastor Harrison Moronya and Pastor John Nyamwanda, together with Elders Henry Nyangweso, Evans Mosomi and David Amoro. We felt very comforted with the services and your kind words of encouragement.

Finally, to all that helped us to give our mum a befitting send off, please accept our deepest thanks.
