With the humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing on of Hon. Gedion Munyao Mutiso, on the 26th April, 2023, while receiving treatment at a Nairobi Hospital. He was the first and longest serving Member of Parliament of Yatta Constituency, a Pioneer Trade Unionist, Politician, Staunch Christian, and a Revolutionist.

A dear husband to Mrs. Pauline Mutiso, the late Ruth Wanza and the late Sarah Wanjiku. A loving and darling father to, Mueni, Petronilla, Franklin, the late Yuri, Anthony, Ivy, Maggy, Prudence, Mercy, Jacinta, Caroline and Catherine.

Father-in-law to the late Rael Katulu,Cristina Mutiso, Henrik Barner Rasmussen, Oscar Kipkoech, Brendan Khalagai and Clifford Koome.

A dedicated grandfather to Enzo,Gianina, Mutei, Judy, George, Gedion, Gilbert, Nate, Noella, Stefani, Taraji, Amani and Reignah, among others. He was also a great grandfather.

Son of the late Mutiso Nyilu and the late Anna Kavuu Mutiso. A beloved brother to the late Elizabeth Kalondu, the late David Mawia, the late Rebecca Munyiva and the late Phylis Mwongeli.

Son-in-law to the late Joel Mbithi and the late Teresia Mbaika.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Friday I 2th May, 2023 at 6:30am for the requiem service at the Matuu KMTC Grounds followed by final rites at his Kakumini home near Matuu Town, Yatta Constituency, Machakos County.
