Hon. Joseph Amisi Omuganda

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sorrowful demise of our dear Hon. Joseph Amisi Omuganda, Chief Party Leader of Maendeleo Democratic Party, through a tragic road accident. He hailed from Eshikhoni Village,West Butsotso Location, Kakamega County.

Loving husband to Jane Amisi, the late Eunice Amisi, Lilian Atieno and Matilda Angatia. Doting father to Mercy, Damas Akubwa, Senephrine Omukoyia, the late Zakaria, Davis Bulimo, Laura Lubanga, the late Lavenda, Michelle, Unique and Sally.

Grandfather to Janehope, Jane, Beatrice, Rubyrose, Marsha, Janice, Dennis, Melvin, Eugene and Godwil.

Son to the late Mzee Dickson Muganda Nanzushi of Abamwende Clan and the late Mama Sarah Lubanga of Abashibungo Clan. Step-son to the late Nora Omuronji, the late Dinah Akhatioli, Sofa Opeli, Zainab Nyandiwa and the late Priscilla Andeso.

Brother to the late Barasa, the late William, Emily Mushira, osephat Isaac Okwiri, the late Martha Bakhoya, the late Joshua Ouya, the late Brown Tsuma, Josephine Odipo and Hon. PS Dr. Beatrice Muganda Inyangala. Step brother to the late Omumia, the late Jane, Margaret, Rtd. Snr.Asst. Chief Titus, Lydia, the late Elizabeth, the late Stephen, Kennedy, the late Zadock, Doreen,Wycliffe, the late Josiah, Catherine and Suleiman.

Father-in-law to Daniel Yego, Emmy Wanjala, Brenda Gichovi, Hudson Masinde and Ashley Mmbalasi.

Son-in-law to Ramadhan Anyanga and Siriya Isagini,Waswa Machembe and Phylis Akumu, Barack Nyangila and Grace Oloo,Andrew Andati and Salome Odongo. Brother-in-law to Dr Ronald Inyangala, the late Mushira, the late Odipo, the late Ambembo, Omuga, Omariba, the late Panyako, Owino, Lawrence, Ibrahim,Amere, Samwel, Okello, Jacktone, and Ezekiel.

The cortege leaves Kakamega Funeral Parlour on Thursday, May 25th, 2023. The main funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 27th, 2023, at Esurneyia Primary School, from 9.00am, followed by burial at his home in Eshikhoni Village.
