It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Hon. Kamuiru Gltau on 1st May 2021. He was the former Member of Parliament Gatundu Constituency (1992-1997), Chair Mang’u Investments Ltd, Director Michie Consultants amongst several others.

Husband of Nyambura Kamuiru. Son of the late Sospeter & Racheal Njeri Gitau. Son-in-law of the late Sebastian & Teresiah Wambui Waweru all of Mang’u Location, Gatundu North Consistuency.

Beloved father of Dr. Njeri Gitau, Gitau & Leah Kamuiru, Wambui & Isaac Otolo, Wanjiku & Nyaga Nderitu, Wangari & Eric Kibuga and Waweru Kamuiru. Beloved Grandfather of Wanjiku, Gakumo & Nyambura Mwaura, Kamuiru A. & Kamuiru C. Gitau, Akolo & Chanya Otolo, Wairimu, Nyambura & Mwangi Kibuga, Nderitu & Kamuiru Nyaga.

Brother of the late Roy Kamuru, late Chege Gitau, Monica Wanjiru and Kinyajui Gitau. Brother-in-law, cousin, uncle, friend and mentor to many.

There will be a requiem mass on Wednesday 5th May 2021, at Regina Caeli Catholic Church Karen at 2:00pm.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Friday 7th May 2021, at 8:00am for a requiem mass at St. John Mang’u Catholic Church at 11:00am and thereafter an interment ceremony will be held at his home in Kirai Village, Mang’u Location, Gatundu North.

Revelation 14:13 — ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord, from now on they will rest from their labour for their deeds will follow them.’

    Rest i peace Great Man, i met in you in the 80’s at Juja farm, your contribution towards development in Gatundu and General stride toward multiparty politics will not, and cannot be wished away, my uncle alot can be narrated but its in our hearts to share…….fare THEE WELL, it was NOT EASY STANDING AGAINST THE MOI’S REGIME, you grabbed the mace, FARE THEE WELL ITHE WITU!
