Hon. Mzee Lawrence Mulama Itolondo

It is with humb’e acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Hon. Mzee Lawrence Mulama Itolondo, former Chairman of Kaka.mega County Council and the Association of Local Government Authorities of Kenya (ALGAK) which occurred at Karen, Nairobi after a long illness bravely borne.

He was the 1st born child of the late Charles Itolondo Mang’weli and the late Tariva Shibwani of Imakhava. Shitochi Kakamega County.

Beloved husband of the late Bernadette Muteirtsi Mulama and Hellen Naliaka Mulama.

Son-In-Law to the late Andrew Indoko and the late Juliana Mutsienu and the late Joseph Kararnofa and Manta Khalituma, He was a brother-in-law to the Indokos of Iburimbult Village and Kararnop,as of lsamitsi village and others.

Loving father to Munase Mulama, Dr Alice Murwayi, Eng. Boniface Mulama, Dr Beatrice Mulama Chtula, CPA Valentine Mulama, Caroline Malesi (Italy), Pamela Isabella Muranditsi (UK), CPA Desterius Shitsama, Bibiana Mulama, Aggrey Mulama, Hilda Muteiyitsi, Kevin Sore, Edwin Muchuma and Annette Murunga (USA). Father in-law to Bilha Lugonzo. Wyclrffe Murwayi, Gertrude Aseiu, John Chitala, Rose Shikanda, Neil Robert Goodman, Michael Otuoma, Harold Murunga, and Elizabeth Anyumba.

He was the beloved grandfather to Doreen, Itolondo, Mulama, Dennis, Martin, Michael, Mark, Brian, Clarence, Lian, Abby, Derrick, Joel, Leo, Inez, lvanna, Hawi, Nora, Breenah, Tana, Nisha, Tanisha. Nicole, Tanya, Gavreel, Annly, Lawrence, Kyle, Kyiin, Kai. Alexia and Amia_ Great grandfather to Edafe Cole and an uncle to many.

He was brother to the late Clara, the late Teresina, Rita, the late Sofa. the late Julien, Bernadette the late Sabina, Scholastica, Willimina, Vincent and Dr. Wilfrida.

Cousin to the Lukullus, Wirakas, Mnielas, Sores, Imbosas, Shisialis. Shituyas, Witeres and Isindus.

The burial will be on Saturday. September 9th 2023 at his home in Sigalagala, Kakamega County.
