We regret to announce the death of Hon. Pius Musyoka Uvyu (Wakuyenga), which occurred on 16/06/2023 at Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital after a tong illness. He was former Councillor Vyulya ward 1997 – 2002.

Son to Late Uvyu Kilatya (Kuyenga) and Late Theresia Kawai.

Loving husband to Agnes Ndululu Yumbya. Father to Advocate Victoria Mutheu, Alois Muthoka (KPS Ainabkoi), Eng.Alphonse Katua, Pharmtech Angelina Nundu (Machakos), Teacher Patricia Mutile (Teacher Kyaaka Primary), Dr. Vet Onesmus Yumbya (Prestige Vet Clinic Nairobi), Johnpaul Kuyenga (Business Man) and Mercy Judy (Ministry of Health Mwala).

Brother to Late Mule, Late Nthiw’a, Late Willy, Late Kathila, Morris, Michael, Justin and Raphael.

Father in-law to Advocate Zechariah Nyakundi, Teacher Florence Muthoka (Kitooni Primary School), Teacher Domitilla Katua (City Primary), Prochorus Mutua (Business Man), John Mulandi (Print Park Company), Janet Yumbya (Wawi Caterers), Irene Syombua and Hon. Pascal Ndei.

Had 24 grandchildren among them Dennis Kaloki (O.O.G Mks County), Erick, Faith (K.Q), Blessed, Tracy, Grace, Munene, Eugene & Layton. Had 2 great grandchildren.

Uncle to Mwanzia, Lawrence Tito (D.C.I), Richard, Musembi, Wanzila, Kioko, Gregory, Benja and others.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral on Wednesday, 28/06/2023 at 6:00am and there after Holy Mass starting from 10:00am at St. Joseph Parish Kithangaini Catholic Church and burial shall take place at rural home in Kaewa Village, Vyulya Location; Masii Ward, Mwala Sub-County, Machakos County.
