Hon. Samwel Kipterer Ngetich
it’s with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Hon. Samwel Kipterer Ngetich, Chairman Kipchimchim Group of Companies who passed away on 25th August, 2022 at MP Shah Hospital after a short illness bravely borne.
Son of the late Zacharia Kipngetich Arap Berenge and the late Bornes Taplelei both of Chepsetyon Village. Son-in-law to the late Kiptoo arap Bore and the late Tapnyole Bore of Chepsetyon. Brother to Mrs. Esther Kogo, Mrs.Theresia Rotich, Mrs. Justina Tonui, and Mr Joseph Ngetich.
Loving husband to Mrs. Ruth Ngetich. He was blessed with eight children namely: Hellen Bett, Alfred Soi Director Kipchimchim Group of Companies, Edna Korir, Benard Soi M.D. Kipchimchim Group of Companies, Stanley Soi Director Kipchimchim Group of Companies, Caroline Kurgat, Leonida Sankei and Sharon Chepkoech.
Father-in-law to Christine, Caroline,Winny, John Bea, Ernest Korir, Julius Kurgat, Milton Sankei and Leonard Rop.
Grandfather to Peris, Dennis, Harrison, Emma, Lin, Noela, Brenda, Diana, Johnpaul, James, Emmanuel, Marion, Cynthia, Brian, Caren, Martin, Brian, Debra, Audrey, Noela, Abigael, Annette, Nicole, Justine, Stephanie, Benedict, Ezra, Jayden, Mercy,V allen, Protus, Noel, Charlene, Jayden, Noela, Liam Great-grandfather to Megan, Trivia, Krystal Bella.
Until his demise, Hon. Ngetich was serving as the chairman of the Kipchimchim Group of Companies. He has also served the Republic of Kenya in many capacities, most recently as a member of county assembly (MCA) Kapkugerwet Ward and earlier as the deputy mayor of the defunct Kericho Municipality.
Friends and family are meeting daily at his Kipchimchim home for prayers and funeral arrangements
The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Thursday 1st September, 2022 at 9.00am via Wilson Airport – Marie in Airstrip, Kericho for a requiem mass at Kipchimchim Catholic Church and thereafter an overnight stay at home.
The Funeral service/Mass will be held on Friday 2nd September. 2022 from 10:00am at St. Francis Kipchimchim Boys High School; thereafter burial will be at his home, Chepsetyon village, Kericho County.
