An Anniversary Tribute from Credit Bank PLC

On this day, 1st February, 2023 we at Credit Bank PLC join the family and the many others to whom he was dear and by whom he was cherished in marking the second anniversary of the demise of our Founder, Chairman, Simeon Nyachae. It is a day of retrospection on the life of a courageous and visionary man. Credit Bank PLC continues to celebrate the towering memory of a great leader in the country and the Bank’s Founder and shareholder.

The late Hon. Nyachae’s legacy is synonymous with a strong dedication to advancing financial inclusion and investments amongst communities across the region. Two years after he left us, Chairman would have reason to be proud of the bank he was instrumental in founding in 1986 as a non-bank financial institution called Credit Kenya Limited. In 1995 it was granted a commercial banking licence to become Credit Bank Limited. And in yet another permutation, it has become Credit Bank PLC. In the past few years, Credit Bank PLC has earned recognition by both local and International bodies as evidenced by its many accolades.

As we move ever forward, we at Credit Bank PLC remain inspired by his distinct qualities of honesty, discipline, duty, decency, reliability, efficiency, honour, dignity and respect to all. On this day of remembrance, knowing that we Staff, management and Board of Credit Bank PLC were always part of his extended family, our thoughts turn, in solidarity and support, to those linked to him more closely.To us he was Chairman, but to the family he was a cherished husband, grandpa, father, cousin, uncle, friend and was, indeed, a great man and remains an irreplaceable legend.
