Idah Mbeke Ochieng

It is with humble acceptance of God’s Will that we announce the passing of Idah Mbeke Ochieng.

Loving wife of the late Stephen Ochieng Nyamenya (Babu), mother of Dorothy Muchura Ochieng (Topsy), Margaret Awuor Ochieng (Titi) and Fredrick Jacob Ochieng (Freddie). Loving grandmother of Eric Ochieng (Tutu), Jackline Wanjiru, Stephen Njeru, Idah-Reese Ochieng, Samantha Nicole Ochieng and Vivian Mbeke Ochieng. Great grandmother to Idah Zara.

She was a loving sister of the late Loise Kitaka, Janet Kimweli, Peter Ndavu, Susan Ngunze, Agnes Muasya, Beatrice Mbithe, Rose Maswili Kaviku, late Elizabeth Mweni, Grace Kitonga, Late Mbenya Mwanthi, Richard Nzesiya, Eric Ngila, Fredrick Mutunga and Rhoda Musau.

She was a loving sister-in-law of the late Grace Oluoch, the late Isaac Otieno Nyamenya, the late Washington Rateng Nyamenya, the late Arthur Odame Nyamenya, the late Rose Achieng Ogola, Peter Ochanda Nyamenya, Benjamin Opondo Nyamenya, the late Henry Ooko Nyamenya, the late Paul Joel Nyamenya, and the late David Ochieng Nyamenya.

Mother-in-law of Halphan Njeru. She was a cousin, aunty, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily from 6:00 pm for payers and funeral arrangements at her house in Langata, Ngei Phase 2.

The Ochieng family would like to invite you to Nairobi Baptist Church, Ngong Road on Wednesday 24th May 2023 from 11am to celebrate the life of our matriarch Mrs. Idah Mbeke Ochieng.

We shall lay her to rest on Saturday 27th May 2023 in Kisingo, Makindu. Family and friends will meet at Lee Funeral at 6.00am and depart for Makindu at 7.00am. The service in Makindu shall start at 12 noon.
