It is with humble acceptance of God’s will we announce the death of Isabella Gathoni Weru (Wa Betty), which occurred on 22nd August, 2023.

Daughter of the late Daniel Macharia Gichero and the late Milkah Wambui Macharia. Daughter-in-law of the late Jacob Miano and the late Anne Wangui Miano.

Loving wife of the late George Weru Miano. Mother to Betty Wambui, Hans Lund, Jennifer Wanjiku, the late Stephen Mwaura, Judy Miano, Christine Mumbi, Dickson Akeno, Eric Mureithi, Lilian Musyoka, Patrick Macharia and Linn Therese Macharia.

Sister to the late Mary Mumbi, Joyce Wainuku, Joseph Wanjohi, Purity Muthoni, the late Paul Mathenge, Mercy Wairimu and George Kibanya. Step-sister of the late Lydia Wambui Mwaniki, the late Mwangi Macharia, the late Robert Thamaini, Isabella Wanjugu, George Kabucwa and Patrick Karuki.Aunty and godmother of many.

Friends and family are meeting daily at her matrimonial home in Buruburu Farm – Ruai and at her husband’s home in Giathuku Village, Chehe Sub-location, Kirimara Division, Mathira East Sub- county, Nyeri County from 6.00pm – 8.00pm.

The cortege leaves Jamii Nursing Home – Karatina at 9.00am on Wednesday, 30th August, 2023 for funeral service and burial on the same day at Giathuku Village, Chehe Sub-location, Kirimara Division, Mathira East Sub-county, Nyeri County.
