It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that BIFU (K) fraternity announce the death of Mr. Isaiah Kubai Mitu, MBS after a short illness. He was the Founding and Current General Secretary-Banking Insurance and Finance Union (BIFU), Executive Board Member-COTU-K, a former Commissioner of Salaries and Remuneration Commission, (SRC) and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.

Son of the late Mitu and the late Martha Kamwithu. Husband to Martha Karimi Kubai (Ongata Rongai) and father to Judith Kaimuri (BIFU), Pauline Mukiri (USA), the late Evaline Kiaria, Ben Murithi (Crown Healthcare) and Freedom Mwari (State Law Office). Father-in-law to Douglas, David and John. Grandfather to Keisha, Kent,Adriel, Zoey, Brielle and Ivanna. Brother to Severina, Rose and the late Kithia.

Son-in-law to Isaac M’Ananga and the late Rebekah Kooru. Brother-in-law to Janet, Ruth, the late Kinya, Rael, Lucy and Mwingwa. Uncle to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily at his home in Ongata Rongai, Kajiado County, from 4:00pm and in Auki village, Maua, Meru County, where the Board of Management, Auki Secondary, is planning meetings.

There will be a fundraising at the Holy Family Minor Basilica on Monday, 15th August 2022 at 4.00pm.

There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, 16th August 2022 at the Nairobi Baptist Church, along Ngong Road (Adjacent to Daystar university and opposite City Mortuary) at 10.00am.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral home on Friday 19th August 2022 at 6.00am and thereafter burial at his home in Maua/Auki Village, Meru County.

In God’s hands you rest, in our hearts you live forever. Fare thee well Kubai. Amen!
