Jacinta Wangari Kariemu

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announced the death of our beloved Jacinta Wangari Kariemu, which occurred at the Coptic Hospital, Nairobi, after a long illness bravely borne.

Daughter of the late Hannah Wachuka and late Samson Chege Kamau. Sister of Monica and John Ndungu Chege, Margaret Wangui and John Mwangi Agnes and Peter Kamau Chege, Nancy and Francis Mahia Chege, Julia Njeri, Mary Wambui and the late Anthony Kihia Ireri. Wife of the late Cyrus Kiambui Kariemu. Mother of Peter Chege, Caroline and Chris Brazell, the late Patrick Kariemu and Winnie Kariemu. Grandmother of Sigitolo Brazell and Makena Wangari Brazell. Aunty, grandmother and friend to many.

Relatives and friends are meeting at her home in Nyayo Estate, Embakasi or at All Saints Cathedral from 6.00pm to 8.00pm on Tuesday 23rd April and Wednesday 24th April.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home, Mbagathi Way, at 9.00am on Thursday 25th April 2019, for a requiem mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Adams Arcade, Nairobi from 10.00am. Thereafter, burial will follow at Lang’ata Cemetery on the same day.
