James Githinji Karanja (Jimmy)

in humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the untimely passing on of Jimmy.

Cherished son of the late Prof. Joseph Gatheru Karanja and Mrs. Margaret Njeri Karanja. Loving husband to Catherine Wangari Kamau – Githinji and adoring father to Ayden Gatheru Githinji. Brother to Stella Waheto & Jeff Mitau, Liz Muthoni & Peter Macharia, Winnie Wambui &Danny Niuguna, the late George & Emily Karanja. Pete & Trish Weru. Son-in-Law to Stephen Kamau Mbiyu and Margaret Mumbi Kamau. Brother-in-law to Rose Kamau & Joseph Njoroge,Terry Kamau and Peter Mbiyu Kamau.

Uncle to Ashley, Vanessa, Tevin, Amilia, Silantoi, Isaac, Samwel, Christian, Abi, Sarah Tasha, Ethan,Tamara,Tyler, Hadassah, Sante, Israel, Joel and Ekrah. Nephew, Cousin, Uncle, In-law, Friend, Colleague, Financial Advisor and Mentor to many.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily from 4:00pm at the family home in Karen, followed by Mass at 5:00pm.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Friday, 28th October 2022 at 8:00am followed by Requiem Mass at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Parish in Karen from 9:00am and thereafter funeral at the family home.
