James Maina Kariuki

1951 – 2022

We announce the death of James Maina Kariuki which occurred on March 27, 2022, at Thika Level 5 Hospital following a road accident.

Son of the late Ayub Kariuki and the late Sarah Wanjiku. Husband of Cecilia Wanjiku.

Father of Josephine Wambui, Sarah Njeri, Elizabeth Wanjiru, Silvana Nyokabi, Lydia Wambui, Patricia Wairimu and the late Faith Wanjiru.

Father-in-law of Victor Ng’ang’a, Joseph Ngugi and Martin Kinyanjui.

Brother of the late Elizabeth Wanjiru, Peter Mwaura, Lydia Wambui, Wangui Mwangi, Clement Njoroge, Jacinta Kahara, Patrick Mburu and Paul Chege.

Grandfather of Brian Wanjege, Roy Maina, Francis Maina, Elvis Maina, Phoebe Wanjiku, Vincent Kimani, Seraphim Kamande, Cleopas Maina, Bakhita Wambui and Phyllis Wanjiku.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home Thika Road on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 9am.

Funeral service will be held at Gatei Primary School near Mucerere Shopping Centre, Gatundu North, Kiambu County from 11am.

Burial will follow thereafter at his home in Gathangari village.

Relatives and friends are meeting at 3pm daily at his Gathangari home and in Maragua town for funeral arrangements.
