We regret to announce the demise of Mr. James Munene Mwangi. He passed away in a traffic accident on 2nd July, 2022 at 19:00 hours, near Kiminini, along the Webuye – Kitale Highway. He was born in 1952 in Ciboni Sub-location, Gatamaiyu Ward in Kiambu County.

He was the ninth child of the late Mwangi Thuita and the late Muthoni Mwangi. Brother to the late Beth Gathoni Mwangi, the late Misheck Gatemi, the late Miriam Njeri Manji,Wanjiru Kimani, the late Peter Gitau Mwangi, Wanjiku Kamau, Kanyingi Mwangi, Mary Wangari Mwangi and Charles Waweru Mwangi. Step-brother to Margaret Nyambura, Joseph Muthondu and Nancy Gathoni Kameru.

He married his beloved wife, Nancy Njeri Njoroge, in 1982. He was a farmer in Wamuini until he met his untimely death. Mr. Munene was an active member of the Church of God Seventh Day – Kitale and a member of the Community Nyumba Kumi Initiative. He served his community with love and dedication. He was an inspiration to many, young and old.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Njeri Njoroge; children; Elizabeth Muthoni, Josephine Wangari, Daniel Mwangi, Beth Wambui, Obadiah Njoroge, Peter Gitau, and grandchildren Beulah Kariuki, Raziel Kariuki, Ariellah Kariuki, Golda Maingi, Tova Maingi, Jasiri Munene and Josiah Njoroge.

Funeral Arrangements are going on at his home in Wamuini, Kitale and Milimani – Kitale.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, 19th July, 2022 in Sokomoko Wamwini. Burial will follow at his home in Wamwini.
