James ‘Papa’ Kiarie

It is with deep sadness that we announce the tragic passing of James ‘Papa’ Kiarie, a beloved son, brother, and uncle, on the night of June 30th 2023.

James was the son of John and Katherine Kiarie, brother of Nyaikenye and Uncle to Aimee.

Grandson of the late John Kiarie and the late Elizabeth Nyaikenye, and the late John Gitau and Florence Gitau.

Nephew to Henry Karothi, the late Josphat Nginyo, Komo, Mike, Gladys, the late Wanjiku, Nicholas lkonya, the late Eva Musembi, Ruth and Muga Mugambi, Mary Gitau, Susan Gitau, Nimu and Twak Thiong’o.

James was cousin to Liza, Jimmy, Samba, John, Philip, Elizabeth Karothi, Jimmy, John (Boy), Judy, Elizabeth Nyaikenye , Wambui, Joe, Jimmy, Nyaikenye Kiarie, Louis Jr, Eugene lkonya, Elizabeth Musyoka, John Musyoka, Ngina, Bati, Gakii, Ciku, Mureithi, Gitau, John,Wambui, Ciku, Major, Mbora, amongst others.

A private cremation ceremony was held on Tuesday, July 4th 2023.

To celebrate Papa’s life, a memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 9th 2023 at Nairobi Chapel in Lavington (Kiddy Villa). Family, and friends, are invited to attend this special event, which will commence at 2.00pm.
