It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of James Romanus Kuchio which occurred on 7th October 2022 after a short illness.

Son to the late Erasmus Chitechi and late Magdalene Musundi. Husband to Rosemary Kuchio and father to Pauline Ayombi, Ruth Akwera, Patricia Amamu, Cameline Musundi, Clinton Chitechi and Faith Cecilia.

Brother to Eugene Ngaywa, Valentine Makokha, Theophilus Chitechi, Dr Chris Chitechi, Johnbosco Chitechi, Sarah Matalanga, Serah Chitechi, Susan Chitechi and Margaret Manasseh.

Brother-in-law to Emily, Miriam, Diana, the late Floice, Sarai, Lorraine and Peter Matalanga. Son-in law to Christopher Ondeche and Cecilia Otembo of Nyapora village Mumias.

Father-in-law to Peter Osuka, Kevin Otieno and Francis Anjere. Grandfather to Valentine,Yvonne, Benjones, Blaise, Baraka, Bianca and Gianna.

He was a loving uncle to the Chitechi’s and cousin to the Kuchio’s, Ongoma’s, Twarto’s, Ondusye’s, Ayieko’s, Kwena’s and Cypriano’s of Marachi.

Viewing of the body will take place at Montezuma Funeral Home Mbagathi Way on Thursday, 20th October 2022 at 3.00pm strictly.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home Nairobi on Friday, 21st October 2022 at 05:00am and arrives at Kisumu Airport at 10.25am.

There will be a requiem mass at St. Leo Catholic Church Shianda on Friday, 21st October 2022 at 1.00pm. He will be laid to rest on 22nd October 2022 at his home in Khabakaya Village Mumias East Sub County, Kakamega County. — Job
