The Laban Chweya Foundation regrets to announce the death and funeral of Jane Moraa Matoke Chweya.

Eldest Daughter of the late Matara Mogaka and late Bathseba Nyamboba Matara. Sister of late Kodhek Ongaga Matara, Osito Matara, the late Marsella Matara, Callen Misati, Obonyo Matara, Ngoko Matara, the late Mary Nyamoita Ogeto, Robinson Moseti Matara (Principal Amasege Secondary), Ong’uti Matara, Saisi Matara, Agnes Orioki, Dorca Guto, Atambo Matara, Ednah Nyamondo and Rose Mokeira. Daughter-in-law of the late Elder Laban Chweya and the late Hellen Nyamoita Chweya. Wife of Jonathan Matoke Chweya (Retired Head Teacher Metamaywa Pry School and First CDF Chairman, Nyaribari Masaba).

Sister-in-law of Yabesh Okemwa Chweya, Agnes Okemwa, Rudia Nyangau, Grace Kiage, Martha Mauko, Richard Mochama Chweya, Jennifer Mochama, Joyce Mose, Alice Chweya, Alfred Matoya Chweya, Esther Matoya, the late Truphosa Daniel and Josca Kennedy. Mother of Hon. Dr. Laban Chweya (Aspirant MP Nyaribari Masaba), Cyprian Ombati (Lecturer, University of Kabianga and National Trustee, UASU), George Matara (Lecturer, Kisii University), Lilian Kerubo, and Eric Kegoya_ Mother-in-law of Emma Kemunto Chweya, and Huldah Kwamboka Matara. Grandmother of Layne Nyamoita Chweya, Chloe Nyamoita, the late Chweya Jonty Chweya and Jonty Chweya Matara. Korera of Evans Nyaberi and Eunice and Shem Nyaundi and Peninah.

The cortege will leave Hema Hospital, Kisii on Friday, 6th September, 2019 to her home and burial will be on Sunday 8th September, 2019 at Nyanturago Green Stadium.
