Jane Mugure Wanjau

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our loving mother and wife – Jane Mugure Wanjau. Beloved wife of Eng. D.M. Wanjau of the University of Nairobi.

Daughter of the late Festus Gathecha Kabinga and the late Shelmith Wanjiru Gathecha. Daughter-in-law of Mary Wanjiku Maina and the late Francis Maina Wanjau. Mother of Francis Maina Wanjau and his wife Joselyn Adina Wanjau (Worcester, MA-USA), Festus Gathecha Wanjau and his partner Trimana Brock (Atlanta, GA -USA); Dr. Ruth Wanjiku Wanjau (Manchester, UK). Grandmother of Kenzie Mugure Wanjau, who affectionately called her Cucu.

Sister of the late Elam Kabinga, Peris Gikonyo, the late Peninah Njiru, the late Wilson Kabinga, the late Asaph Kariuki, Francis Kibugu, James Wahome and the late Perpetual Wakonyo. Sister-in-law of Grace Wanjiru, the late Christopher Wanjaria, Winnie Mwau, James Mwathi, Samuel Kimiti and Beatrice Wamuyu.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 7th, 2021 at her residence in Matasia, Ngong from 11.00am. The funeral service will be on livestream and will be held in line with Covid19 prevention guidelines.
