Jane Naliaka Murunga

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved mother, Jane Naliaka Murunga after a long bravely borne battle with cervical cancer. Until her demise she was the Deputy Principal, Our Lady of Assumption Khachonge Girls Secondary School, Chwele in Bungoma County.

Wife of Timothy Sikunyi Muellar of the Ministry of East African Community. Doting mother of Stalin Sindani (Kenindia Insurance), Esperanza Katola and the late Victor Wabuke. Beloved daughter of the late George Maloba Murunga and Violet Namulekhwa of Kurriot village, Kipkarren River. Daughter-in-law of the late Nelson Mwella Sindani and Rosemary Nelima of Mabusi, Tongaren. Loving sister of Margaret Jilo (Friends Secondary Wabukhonyi School), Jedidah (Webuye), Roselyn Kitur ( Kivaywa Boys Secondary School), Neema, Louisa (USA), Dickson (MMUST),Victor, Teddy (TUM) and Sarah (Busia).

Sister in law of Dr. Philemon Namasaka (JKUAT, Nairobi Hospital), Coretta Mwella (USA) and Joseph Sikunyi (Advocate, Mombasa), John Kitur, Sammy Isigi, Mushata Jilo, Eunice Kololi and Mercy Murunga. Auntie of Ian Isigi, Faith Hadida, Vanessa Kitur, Ivanna Jilo, Abby, Brian, Leon, George, Alvin, Perpetua, Michael, Beata, Amy, Sonia and Soyinka. Cousin of the Kololi’s Josephine, Moses, Nicholas, Oscar, Levi, Grace, Kisumo ,Juliet Khisa, Geoffrey Wanyama, Christine Wanjala, Miriam Wanyama, George Mukhwana, Richard Biketi and Claire Melabi and others. Niece of Khocha Wambulwa, Wanjala, Wastaka and others.

The cortege leaves KNH mortuary on Thursday evening 13th June for burial at her home in Mabusii Namakhele in Tongaren, Bungoma North District on Saturday 15th June 2019.
