Jane Wanjiru Macua

Sunrise 22nd May 1938 – Sunset 7th June 2021

It is with humble acceptance of God’s perfect will that we announce the passing on to glory of our beloved mother Jane Wanjiru Macua on 7th June 2021 at Ongata Rongai.

Jane was the daughter of the late James Kariko and late Marion Mwihaki. She was the wife of the late Leonard Macua Thairu of Mwimuto. Beloved mother to Grace W Ndung’u (Pistis Insurance Brokers Ltd), the late David Thairu, James Kariko and Ian Mbui. She was mother in love to Michael N Mbugua (Africa IOD Director – The Gideons International), Purity Kanyua, Grace Muthoni, Damaris Njeri (Country Agency – A. G Nutrition Kenya).

Sister to late Juliet Wairimu Kimathi, late John Mbuthia, Edmund Thuku, late Catherine Muthoni Wainaina, Elizabeth Nduta, late Earnest Chege, James Mwaura, and Caroline Wacuka Njaga. She is survived by fourteen grandchildren and one great grandson.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers at the ancestral home in Gituamba, Mwimuto at 3.00pm.

The funeral service will be held at ACK St John’s Church, Mwimuto on Monday 14th June 2021 at 10.00 am followed by burial at the ancestral home in Gituamba- Mwimuto.
