It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of the will of God that we announce the death of Mwalimu Hezekiah Owiny Awange (retired ), former Headteacher Arina Primary Kisumu and founder Headteacher Kambare Secondary School.

Son of the late Nicodemus Awange Oguna and Christabel Ogweno. Husband of Emily Adhiambo Owiny. Father of Dr. George Owiny (UK), Ruth Msikinya (S.A), the late Samuel, the late Tom, the late Anna, Rosemary Owiny, Jackline (US), Sarah, Catherine, Mildred, Everline and Eng. Horace.

He has left several grandchildren. Son-in-law of Stephen Ohowa Muhando and Peres Lwayo of Gem (Malanga). Brother-in-law of Alice, Jane, the late Harun, the late Jenipher, the late Booker among others. Brother of the late Shadrack Angolo, the late Margaret Agik ,late Paul Odera, Florence Siro and Martha Auma among others. Step brother of Adol’s including Emmanuel, Ann, Simon, Moses, Elizabeth among others.
