Japuonj Joseph Atonga Nyanaya

 Born: 1942 – Rested: August 4th 2017

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Japuonj Joseph John Atonga Nyanaya which occurred on 4th August 2017 in Nakuru War Memorial Hospital after a long illness bravely borne. Son of the late Agnes Achilla Nyanaya and the late Nyanaya Omach.

He was the husband of Gaudentia Agoko Atonga and the father of Angela Atonga, Martin Atonga, Tom Atonga, Rose Mayo, Ann Ogenga, Francisca Rose, Susan Atonga,Winnie Atonga, the late Godfrey Atonga and the late Peter Steve Atonga. He was the last born brother of Leo Okech, Domitilla Miginda, the late Lori Nyanaya and the late Martin Nyandeje; and the doting grandfather of Tevin, Alvin, Daniella, Junior, Miguel, Nicole, Jeff, Dephie, Willie, Sean, Chantelle,Joe Christian and Zawadi. Father-in-law of Samson Mayo, Fred Ogenga, Marcus Rose Jacqueline Nyandeje and Debris Ochieng.

Family and friends are meeting for prayers and funeral arrangements at his home in Gwassi, Suba South, Homabay County.

The cortege will leave Rosewood Funeral Home, Rongo, on Thursday 24th for the funeral Mass and interment at his home in Gwassi, Suba South, Homabay County on Friday 25th August 2017.

He fought the good fight, he has won the race.
