Son of the late James Gekara & the late Rebecca Nyaanga Gekara and Step Son to Esther Gekara. Brother to Peter, Abenga, Ondieki, Nyamolcami, the late Maburi, Morara, Ruth, Ochomba, Ombori, Judy, Marcela, the late Frank and Reagan.

Husband to Pamella Nyanchama. Father to Millicent,Tony and Joash of Moi High School, Gesusu. Grandfather to Annabell.

Son-in-law to Richard Mose Okiambe and Carren Moraa Mose. In-law to the late Joash, Mercy, Fred, Gladys, George, Naom, Duke, Pauline and Mokaya.

The cortege leaves KNH Mortuary on Friday 04/11/2022 to his Gesiaga home in Nyamira County. Burial will be held on Sunday 06/11/2022 at his home in Gesiaga, Bokayo, Nyamira County.
