Jerusha Wanjiru Gitahi

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will and gratitude that we announce the passing on of Jerusha Wanjiru Gitahi (Nyakaru) of Kihoya Village, Rwathia Sub-location, Kangema, Murang’a County. She went to be with the Lord on 20th June, 2023 after a life well lived.

Loving wife to the late Peter Gitahi Muiru.

Daughter of the late Irumbi Githaiga and the late Nyokabi Irumbi. Sister to the late Wangari Mukundi, the late Githaiga Irumbi, the late Muthoni Kiiri and the late Muruthi Irumbi (Kahia).

Mother to the late Mercy Nyokabi Nderitu, Esther Nyambura Kibe, Teresia Wangari Kimani, Joseph Irumbi Gitahi (formerly of Kenyatta University), Rhoda Wambui Gitahi, Paul Waithaka Gitahi (formerly of Equity Bank) and the late Mary Muthoni Mugo (formerly of Parklands Arya Girls School).

She was a Mother-in-law, an Aunt, a Grandmother and a Great-great-grandmother to many.

Meetings are being held at her home in Kihoya Village, Timboroa Hotel – Nairobi and Paul Gitahi’s residence.

The cortege leaves Mwai Kibaki Referral Hospital – Othaya, on Saturday 1st July, 2023 at 9:0oam.Thereafter, the funeral service will be held at her home in Kihoya Village.

We thank God for over a century of a life well lived and praise his name, now and forever.
