It is with heavy hearts and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Joel K. Toroitich Chemng’orem (Former Senior Deputy Commissioner of Prisons) of Ngata, Nakuru.
Son of the late Joseph T. Chemng’orem and the late Hannah Sote Chemng’orem.
Beloved husband of Florence T. Toroitich and a loving father of Nancy Koskei (Jhpiego), Kenneth Kiprop (Ngata, Nakuru), Doris Chemng’orem (CBK, Nairobi), Belinda Kandie, (NSSF, Nairobi), Cecilia Jerotich (USA), Stella Jepchumba (NSSF, Nairobi) and the late Gilbert Kimutai.
Father-in-law of Joshua Koskei, Rebecca Kiprop and Dr. Charles Kandie (Ministry of Health).
Brother of Alice Sesat, Stanley Chemng’orem, the late Henry Chemng’orem, Milcah Ruto, Paul Chemng’orem, the late Jennifer Kipsang, the late Rodah Mbugua, the late David Yatich and Douglas Chemng’orem.
Brother-in-law of the late Rael Lang’at, the late Fred Chepkuto, the late Eileen Ngochoch, the late Joshua Chepkuto, Prof. Paul Chepkuto, the late Paul Sesat, the late Dorcas Chemng’orem, the late Agnes Chemng’orem, the late Jackson Rutto, Jane Chemng’orem, Edward Kipsang’, the late Stanley Mbugua, Jane Yatich and Winnie Chemng’orem.
Cousin of the Tonjes, Chemngtorem families of Seguton & Kiboino and Kaptendewo of Sacho (Kamamae).
Doting grandfather of Tony, Anne, Ntinai, Daniella, Wayne, Kimberly, Kibos,Tania, Lynnet, Nicole, Sereti and Reuel. Great-grandfather to Pearl.
Family and friends are meeting daily at Bontana Hotel Nakuru and AIC – Milimani – Nairobi at 5.00pm for funeral arrangements.
Date of burial and other funeral arrangements will be announced later.
