Joel Kagongo

It is with humble acceptance’ of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of our beloved Joel Kagongo (Retired District Registrar of persons, Elgeyo Marakwet) which occurred on 15th August at MTRH, Eldoret.

Son of the late Ezekiel and Annah Chebet of Chebara Center Marakwet. Son-in-law of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kimisoi Kimastiony of Kapcherop. Husband of Margaret kagongo and father of Kiprotich, Jepkosgei, Jebiwott, Enock, David, Kemboi, Jerop and Jepchumba. Brother of the late Sarah Choge, the late Japheth, Amos Bett, Maria, Benjamin and Emmy. Loving grandfather, uncle and friend to many. Family and friends are meeting daily at 5pm at his home in Chebara and Kapsiliot as well as Sagatia Hotel, Eldoret.

A major fundraising to offset Hospital and funeral expenses will be held on Monday 21st at Wagon Wheel, Eldoret at 5pm. The cortege leaves MTRH mortuary on Wednesday 23rd August at 2pm for his home in Chebara. Burial follows thereafter on Thursday 24th August at Kapsiliot Farm.
