It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Joel Mathia in Seattle U.S.A on 9th September 2022.
Son to Rahab wanjiku Kang’ethe of Seattle and Anthony Mwangi Mathia. Brother to Esther wairimu Ndungu of Catholic Archdiocese of Nyeri, Margaret Waithira Hinga of Muranga County Government. Brother-in-law to Patrick Ndungu Gitonga (Kimathi University) and Ben Hinga (Autoway Tyres).
Joel was a grandson to the late Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Kang’ethe Gathirwa and the late Mr. & Mrs. Joel Mathia.
Nephew to Nelly & Geoffrey Kamau (GK) Virginia U.S.A, the late Joseph & Agnes Gathirwa, Anthony Ndungu Kangethe Emily Gathoni, Keziah Njeri of Seattle U.S.A & George Mwihia, Josephine Ng’endo and Moses Wanyoike and the late Jeniffer Wanjiku.
He was an uncle to Gitonga, Kiama and Wambui Hinga. Cousin to many.
Family and friends are meeting at Arthur Kang’ethe Gathirwa’s residence in Waguthu near A.C.K Church from 4.00pm for prayers.
The cortege leaves St. Teresa funeral home Thindigua (Kiambu Road) on Wednesday, 5th October 2022 at 9.00am. Service will be thereafter at Waguthu A.C.K Church and thereafter will be laid to rest at Arthur Kange’the Gathirwa residence in Waguthu, Kiambaa Sub-County, Kiambu County.
