John Chege Mbiri

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of John Chege Mbiri of Chewa – Nairobi, which occurred on 8th March, 2022 after a long illness.

Son of the late Ephantus Mbiri Munyingi & the late Abigael Wanjiru Mbiri. Son-in-law to the late Justus Muini and Joyce Wairimu of Kianjogu village, Murang’a; Patrick Njenga & Esther Wanjira of Kabiria, Dagorretti. Husband to the late Jane Waruinu & Salome Wanjiru.

Father to Lucy Wairimu, the late Abigael Wanjiru, Anne Njeri, Margaret Waithera & Peter Langridge (UK), the late Mbiri, Ephantus Macharia & Caroline Wahithe.

Brother to the late Rosemary Njeri, Peter irungu (Nairobi Millennium), Richard Muchai (USA), Justus Munyinyi (Nakuru); the late Keziah Wairimu; the late Catherine Nyambura; Emily Warnbui (Kisii) and Hellen Wangare (USA). A grandfather & uncle to many.

Family & friends are meeting daily at Nairobi Millennium Restaurant – Moi Avenue from 5.00pm.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home – Kabati, Murang’a – at 8.00am on 12th April, 2022 for burial service at his farm in Gatuya village Murang’a at 12.00pm.
