It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the death of John Clement Atieno Ong’ondi of Kowuor Sub-location, Kanyaluo West, Karachuonyo East Division, who passed on at his rural home, the morning of 22nd of October, 2022.

Clement was born on the 24th of February, 1937 to the late Mzee Selfano Ong’ondi Atieno and the late Mama Stela Omwono Dieto of Kowuor, Kanyaluo, Karadltionyo in the former larger South Nyanza and now in Homabay County.

Brother to Maritha Awino, the late Tabitha Okinge, Susan Ondiek, the late Barack Achila, the late Dursila Aoko, Ruth Auma, Esther Obuya and Elisha Nyalando.

Husband to Mama Prisca Ochieng of Kakremba, the late Elizabeth Aoko of Uyoma Kagwa and the Late Risper Lucy Auma of Kano kobura masogo. Father to George Odhiambo, the late Grace Akinyi, Benjamin Mboya, the late Isaiah Oluoch, Beatrice Ogwai, Albert Awino, Maureen Adhiambo, Nashon Atanga. Akoth, Fredrick Achieng’a, Joshua Onyango and Paul Ochieng.

Grandfather to Calviri Ong’ ondi, Stela Jabuto, Silphano Oluoch, Steven Otieno Nundu, Isabella Awino, Esther Adera, Nicholas Hutchins, Elisabeth Hawi, Darwin Ochieng and 23 other grandchildren. He was a great-grandfather to 19 great-grandchildren.

The Funeral service will be held at his rural home in Kowuor Sub-location, Kanyaluo West Location on the 11th of November, 2022 from 9.00am.
