John Gatimu Karuthai

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of Gods will that we announce the sudden death of Mr. John Gatimu Karuthai of Oloolua Ngong Kajiado County after a short illness.

Son of the late Joseph Karuthai Ngunga and the late Ziporah Waruguru of Njoguini Village, Mutira Sub-location, Kirinyaga County. Brother to the late Boniface Ndege, Dr. Stanley Murage, the late Benard Mithamo, Grace Nyawira, Martin Ngunga and Jane Njoki.

Loving husband to Mary Wachuka. Father to Zipporah Gatimu (Assistant County Commissioner, Tetu – Nyeri), Carol Wambui (formerly Rural Electrification Authority), Alex Mwangi (Businessman) and Irene Nyawira. Father-in-law to Micheal Njoroge and Humphrey Nkilimu. Grandfather to Debra, Diana, Saraya, Joy, Andrew, Maggy and Adrian.

Son-in-law to John Ndutumo and Margret Wambui. Brother-in-law to Francis Njoku, Samuel Mwangi, Susan Njoki, the late Lucy Wangari, Peter Kariuki, Anthony Ngugi, Grace Ndutumo, Jane Nyambura, Joyce Wairimu, Margret VVanjira and Simon Gitau. He was an uncle to many.

Friends and Family are meeting every evening at his home in Oloolua, Ngong, Kajiado County.

The funeral will be held at his Farm at Oloolua, Ngong, Kajiado County on Friday the 5th May, 2023 from 10.00a m. The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home at 8.30am to proceed to a funeral service at his home in Oloolua, Ngong Farm in Kajiado County.
