John Gitau Wainaina

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of John Gitau Wainaina on Friday 8th July, 2022, after a long illness.

Son of the late Bethwel Wainaina Gitau and the late Zipporah Njeri Wainaina.

Husband of Agnes Wanjiru Gitau. Father to James Wainaina Gitau (Safaricom), Jane Njeri Gitau (KCB – Kencom), Samuel Ngabia Gitau (KU Referral), Dr. Jackson Ngigi Gitau (Muranga County), Charles Waweru Gitau and Mary Wanjiku Gitau (KCA University). Father-in-law to Ann Wambui, Francis Njenga (Stanchat – Nairobi) Rose Lutukai (KDF) and Terry Wanjiru (Nyandarua County).

Brother to Eunice Muthoni (Ngarariga Limuru),Wanjiku (Nakuru), Mwaura (Mau Narok),Wanjiru (Ngorika), Chege (Njoro) the late Wambui and the late Ngigi. A Grandfather and an Uncle to Many.

Friends and relatives are meeting for prayers and funeral arrangement at Luke Hotel/ Rosters and at his home in Ruiru Mugutha.

The cortege leaves KU Funeral Home on Friday 22nd July, 2022 at 8:00am, for a funeral service at St. Martin Depores Catholic Church – Mugutha at 10:00am. Thereafter burial will be held at his home in Mugutha Village, Ruiru at 12noon.
