John Karige Wamatu

It is with the humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of John Karige Wamatu of Njii-ini Village, Muhoya’s Location, Nyeri County.

Son of the late Paul Wamatu Mutungi and the late Rachel Nyaguthii Wamatu. Stepson of the late Elizabeth Wanjiru and the late Hannah Mumbi. Husband of the late Winifred Wairimu Karige. Father of Patrick Wamatu, Wilson Mwangi and Caroline Nyaguthii. Father-in-law of Jane Nyaranga, Sally Njeri and Tomas Omamo. Brother of the late Molly Wanjiku Mureria, the late Nancy Njarua Gateri, the late Michael Kagumba and Miriam Wamwari Matu. Stepbrother of Sophia Nyangendo, Bilha Nyaguthii, Nathan Wokabi, Mary Nyawira, Sister Mary Paul and others.

Son-in-law of the late Wilson Mwangi Kamundia and the late Miriam Muthoni Mwangi. Brother-in-law of the late Cyrus Kamundia, Nyakio Wambui, Wallace Ndonga, Samuel Mathenge and the late Joram Wambugu. Grandfather of Wairimu, Saitaka, Melissa, Baraka,Appollo, Isaiah and Chiema.

The funeral service will be held at PCEA Ihururu Parish on Friday 11th August, 2017. Thereafter, the body will be taken to the family residence where he will be laid to rest. Family and friends are meeting daily at his residence in Ihururu. Prayers will be held in Nairobi on Thursday 10th August, 2017 at a venue that will be communicated at a later date.
