John Kithome Makai

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we regret to announce the passing on of Mr. John Kithome Makai, which occurred on 5th August 2017.

Son of Makai Mue and Zipporah Ndanu.Step-son of Kavila Makai, Brother of Benjamin Maitha and step-brother of Kisavi Makai and Mukene Makai. Loving Husband of Rael Nthenya (Mutu) Kithonie and Agnes Ndumi Kithome. Father of Michael Kithome (formely Kenya Railways),  the late Peter,Pius Kithome (Pinkerton’s Kenya Limited and ODM Chairperson Makueni County), the late Mbenya, the late Daniel Mutevu, the late Zippora Ndulu, Joshua Kithome (formerly Magadi Soda Co), Munini, Nzula, Onesmus (Treeton company Ltd), Kaulu, Mutono (EA Portland cement Co), Mwikali, Muema, Munyiva and Musyoka. Father-in-law of the late Grace Mwe, Petronilla Pius, Lesley Pius, JosephineMutevu, the late Agnes Joshua, Eunice Joshua Ndunda, Eunice Joshua, Eunice Mwema, Elizabeth Ndunda, Veronica Musyoka, Peter Ndunda, Jeremiah Kisese, Richard Kimithi, Obadiah Iseva, Sammy Kyoke, Mutie Wambua and Jonathan Ndiku. Grand Father of 89 grand children, 30 great grand children and 2 Great great- grand Children.

Friends and Family are meeting for prayers at his home in Kitundu, Kiumi Village, at 4pm and at All saints Cathedral Church Nairobi, daily from 5:30pm,from 11th to I17th August 2017. There will be a fundraising on Wednesday 16th August 2017 at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi. The cortege leaves Unlash Funeral Home on Friday 18thAugust 2017 at 730 am for Burial at his home in Kiumi Village. The funeral service will be held at Kitundu Primary School grounds from 11am, and thereafter at his home in Kiumi.
