It is with great sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of John Mogaka Ombasa of Bombo, North Mugirango, Nyamira County.

Son of the late Mzee Patroba Ombasa and the late Peris Nyabate Ombasa.

Husband to the late Catherine Mogaka, Taphy Mogaka and Miriam Mogaka. Loving father to Josephine Nyasimi (USA), Lilian (KARLO), the late Job, Evelyne (USA), Dennis, Maurine, Sharon, Sheela and Kwamboka.

Brother of Billiah Obanyi, Hon. Kiangoi, Hellen, the late Jane, the late Ali, Gladys and Gisiora.

Brother in-law of Johnson Obanyi, Nathan Nyakarita, Martha, Herman, the late Sato, Omandi, Nyabeta and others.

Father in-law to Ken Nyasimi (USA), Ng’ang’a, Njeru Muriu and Mutuma Murimi.

Nephew of late Mzee Barnaba Ayogo, the late Maina Kiangoi and others. Cousin to Meshack Machani, James Anyoka, Kiangoi Maina, Nyamongo, Momanyi, Abuga, Anyimu, Bosire, Marwanga and many others.

Uncle to Barake, Boera, Chweya, Irene, Nyarangi, Mong’are, Joyce, Ndemo,Anyoka, and many others.

Grandfather to Jared, Jackie, Joy, Nyambura, Isaac and Jesca.

The cortege will leave Ibara Funeral Home, Nyamira on Thursday, 12th October 2023 at 9.00am for his home at Nyageita Village, Bomwagamo Location, Nyamira and he will be laid to rest on Friday, 13th October 2023
