John Peter Ajwang Odongo

25th December, 1942 – 30th March, 2023

It is with humble acceptance, that we announce the death of John Ajwang Odongo, that occurred on Thursday 30/03/2023 at Kenyatta National Hospital (Private Wing), Nairobi, after several stroke episodes.

Husband to the late Flora Oduwo Ajwang.

Son of the late Mariko Odongo and the late Sabina Odongo of Siger Village in Asembo Kanyikela.

Father to Lilian, Milton, Samuel the late Daniel, Susan, Clement and Caroline. Uncle to Nahashon, Goreti, Annah, Otieno, Leonard, Kennedy, George, late Jack & many others.

Brother to Pelista,Teresia, Herenia, Jane, the late Patricia, the late Jackline, David Amolo, Jeckonia Odongo, the late Mary.

Brother-in-law of the late Akim, Amon, Samson, Helida, Rose Omolo, the late Rose Atieno, Pamela, Jane, Ada, the late Mary, Eunice and Mary, Proff Oduwo, Dr. Risper, Doris, amongst others.

Nyawana of the late Joseph and Helida Arum, the late George and Prisca Ogola, the late Hanington and Herenia Obunga, the late Sila and Mary Auma, the late Peter and Jane Kamau, Mama Faith Karanja, the late John and Mary Kidiwa.

Father-in-law to Emmans Orlando,Viiian Amolo, Hetty Okew, Rose Augo, Josiah Maina, Bonaventure Otieno and Anna Odongo.

He is survived by several grandchildren among them; Cindy, Billy Trevor, lvanna Flora,Vumi, Ochieng, Daniel, James, Brian, Kamau, Shiru,Tamia,Abby Flora, Gabriel, Emmanuel.

There will be a fund-raiser to offset the medical and funeral expenses, on the 06/04/2023 at All Saints Cathedral from 5.00pm.

A requiem Mass shall be held at Holy Trinity, Kileleshwa Catholic Church – Nairobi, on Thursday 13/04/2023 at 11.00a.m.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home on 14/04/2023 at 5.30am for Burial on Saturday 15/04/2023 at his home in Siger Village, Asembo West, Rarieda Sub-County.

2nd Timothy 4:7 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” Amen!
