John Thiaka Gacheru

It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the Peaceful passing away of John Thiaka Gacheru on 80th June, 2022.

Son of the late Lawrence Gacheru Gathumu and Hannah Njambi Gacheru. Loving husband to Gladys Wairimu Gacheru. Doting father to Jackline Anna Njambi Thiaka (Seattle, USA), Gerald and Amanda Jarvis Thiaka (Dallas, USA), Winnie and John Mbaria. Beloved grandfather to Denzel, Benson, Rosemarie and Isaiah.

Brother to the late Tabitha Wambui Njung’e, the late Stephen Mungai, the late Joseph Muchai, the late Elizabeth Wangari, the late Mary Wanjiku Kinuthia, the late Teresia Kabia Kibare, the late Marystella Njeri Waweru, the late Samuel Kimani, the late Jacinta Wanjeri and the late Maryzita Wanjiru.

Meetings and prayers are being held daily 4.30pm at the family residence in Athi River from 4.30pm.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home (Mbagathi Road), on Thursday 7th July, 2022 at 7.30am. Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church – Githareini Karia, Githunguri, Kiainbu County at 11.00am, thereafter followed by burial at the family arm.
