Jones Mwendwa Kawelu

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Jones Mwendwa Kawelu, which occurred on Saturday 2 April, 2022.

Adored son to the sate Malusi and Mrs. Dorcas Kalekye of Kabati Kitui. Son-in-law to Joyce Meyer Ikumi and the late John Mweke Ikumi.

Loving husband to Lucy Kambua Kawelu. Devoted father to Christine Kawelu, lsh Kawelu and Brian Malusi.

Doting Grandfather to Zindziswa Mutanu. Cherished Brother to the late Joshua Ngwiii, Ken Malusi, the late Grace Kyalo, Alice Nzwii, Nancy Orongo and Maureen Muga.

Brother-in-law to Judith Peshu, David Ikumi, Rebecca Ikumi and Mary-Rose Simbeye, Damaris Malusi, Kyalo Muthengi, Maurice Nzwii, Nixon Orongo and Dan Muga. Loving Uncle and Cousin to many.

There will be a memorial service at St. Augustine ACK – Madaraka on Thursday 7th April, 2022 from 2.30pm.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home on Saturday 9th April, 2022 at 5am for funeral service and burial thereafter at his home in Kitamwiki Village, Kabati Sub-county, Kitui County.
