Joseph Gerishon Gakio Njenga

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of our beloved Joseph Gerishon Gakio Njenga on 28th November 2019 after a short illness.

Son of the late Silvanus Njenga Kirangi and Mrs. Hannah Wanjiru Njenga of Githuya village, Uplands. Son-in-law of the late Ephantus Ngugi Muchugi and Mrs. Joyce Nyambugi Ngugi. Husband of Nellie Njeri Njenga. Father of Kevin Njenga Gakio and Sarah Wangare, Wanjiru Gakio, George Ngugi Gakio and Faith Muturi Ngugi and Joyce Nyambugi Gakio. Grandfather of Amadea Njeri Njenga, Lemuel Gakio Ngugi and Zoe Njeri Ngugi. Brother of David Gitau Njenga, Virginia Nduta Koigi and Zipporah Waithera Njenga. Brother-in-law of Tabitha Wanjiru, Joseph Koigi Mucha, Rachel Wanjiku Mbaya, the late Dr. John Mbaya, the late Charles Muchugi Ngugi, the late Irene Wanjiru Kariuki, Patrick Njogu Kariuki,Wambui Njogu, the late John Njogu Njenga, Hon. Justice Mumbi Ngugi, Moses Kamau Ngugi, Mercy Wambui, the late George Wainaina Ngugi, Winnie Nyakio, Mbaire Gitonga, Gitonga Kihara, Allan Njunge Ngugi, Robert Kibi Ngugi and Martha Kibi.

Family and friends are meeting daily at the family home in Karen Ngongview Estate for prayers and funeral arrangements.

There will be a prayer service at their home in Karen on Sunday 1st December 2019 at 3:00pm. Meetings will also be held at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi from Tuesday 3rd December to Thursday 5th December 2019, from 5:00pm.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home on Friday 6th December 2019 at 7:30am, or a funeral service to be held at ACK St. Francis Church, Karen at 10:00am followed by burial at their home in Githuya village, Uplands, Kiambu County.
