Joseph Marakunga Mokaya

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Joseph Marakunga Mokaya which occurred on 17/03/2022 at Nairobi West Hospital.

Son of; the late Francis Mokaya and Late Lucia Masese. Son-in-law to; Late Benedict Obae and Lucia Nyaboke.

Husband of Clemencia Moraa.

Father to Joakim Irobiro of Wanainchi, Diana Kerubo and Kevin Mocha. Father-in-law to; Elijah Ogembo and Melody Moraa.

Brother to; Patrick Nyagwaya, Agnes Ongere, Samuel Bironga, Thomas Gekonge, Philip Irobiro, Pamela Nyabuti, Jackline Kerosi and Felicity Mining (Judiciary).

Brother-in-law to: Ephisiba, Edward, Dr. Sophie (KTTC), Sophia, Martha, Christopher, Late Stephen, Isaac (NPS), Ernest, Mary, Hellen, Nicholas (USA), Richard, Consolata, Henry, Mackline and Joseph. Korera to Norman Magara and Eucabeth Mogiti, Dedan Nyachieo and Linet Kwamboka.

Nephew to: Barnabus Otoki of Ichuni and Clemencia Nyasuguta Morris of Rigoma, Kenyerere.

Grandfather to; Michelle, Tanya and Alvin. Family and friends are meeting in Nairobi and at his home in Birongo, Nyamira for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home Nairobi on Thursday, 31/3/2022 at 7am, for burial on Friday, 01/04/2022 at his home in Birongo in the family cemetery from 10.00am.

Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love.
