Joseph Mugumia Ng’ang’a

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the passing on of our dear Joseph Mugumia Ng’ang’a on Saturday, 6th May 2023 at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington DC – USA, after an illness bravely borne.

Joseph was a loving son to the late Mwalimu Samuel Ng’ang’a Karenge and Colleta Njoki Ng’ang’a, and charming brother to Elizabeth (RBA) & Dr. Joseph Waruingi, the late Mary Wanjiku, Arch Peter & Elizabeth Karenge, Anna & Johnson Wachira (USA), Paul & Irene Njuguna (Liberia) and Luke & Winfred Ngugi.

Dutiful husband to Esther Muthoni Mugumia, and dedicated & loving Dad to Mary-Lynn Njoki Mugumia.

He was the son in-law of Abraham Ndumia Gichuki and Georgina Wanjiru Ndumia. Brother in law to Daniel & Eileen Gichuki, Stephen & Gladys Muchoki and Anne Wakarindi Ndumia. He will be fondly remembered as a cousin, uncle, nephew and a friend to many.

Relatives and Friends will meet today, Monday 22nd May and Wednesday 24th May 2023 at All Saints Cathedral Nairobi at 5.00pm.

There will be a Requiem Mass at Don Bosco Shrine, Upperhill, Nairobi on Thursday, 25th May 2023 at 1:30pm.

The cortege will depart Lee Funeral Home, at 7.00am, on Saturday, 27th May 2023. Mass and interment will be at the family home in Gakui, Kandara, Murang’a County.

Forever in our hearts, Joseph will be dearly missed and never forgotten. May his soul, through God’s mercy, rest in eternal peace. Amen.
