It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mr. Joseph Waitara Njau, after a long illness on Tuesday 6th December, 2022.

Dedicated and a loving husband to Jane Karura Njau (former National Woman’s Guild Chairlady). Adorable father to Pauline Wanja Njoroge (Riruta Satellite Primary) and Godfrey Njoroge, Michael Waitara Njau (NHIF) and Rosemary Waitara (Buruburu Girls High School), Beatrice Nyokabi Njau (Gathiru Primary School) and Maryann Gathoni Njau (Githunguri Township Primary School).

Son to the late Simon Waitara and the late Lydia Wanja. Brother to the late Ruth Mburu, John Kimani, the late Edith Ndua, David Kinyua and the late Samuel Kamau.

Brother-in-law to the late Francis Kamau, Alice Wangui Mwenja, the late Edward Kang’ethe Kamau, the late John Kubai Kamau, Dr. Rachael Kang’ethe, Elizabeth Wambui, Rose Linda Njoki Githinji, Pauline Kubai, among many others.

Doting grandfather to Evelyn Nduta, Brian Njoroge, Emmanuel Njau Njoroge, Janel Karura, Liza Wairimu, Marilyn Njeri and Jabali Njau. Great-grandfather to Torry Wanja. Uncle to many.

Family, friends and relatives are meeting daily at his residence Mitahato village, near Gathirimu Girls and All Saints Cathedral – Nairobi on Thursday 8th December, 2022 and 9th December, 2022 from 5:30pm.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home – Mbagathi on 14th December, 2022 at 9:00am for church Service at PC.E.A – Mitahato Church at 11:00pm. He will be laid to rest at his home Mitahato Village in Githunguri – Kiambu.

We will miss you dearly. In God’s hands you rest in peace, in our hearts you live forever. Shine on dear dad.
