Josephine Mukuhi Kairu

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mrs. Josephine Mukuhi Kairu of Kiyu village, Mugoiri Location, which occurred on 2nd October, 2022.

Beloved wife to the late Benson Kairu Wanyui. Mother to Dr. James Kamau of NYS, Catherine Wambui, Janevah Nduta, Kenneth irungu, Margaret Waithera and Lucy Wanjiku. Step-mother to Nduta, Mwangi, Waithera, Faith, Rachael & Wangechi. Mother-in-law to Sarah Kamau, the late Margaret Irungu & John Ndibui.

Daughter of the late Solomon Kamau Kangerecha and Jelina Wambui Kamau of Gatara village. Sister to the late Gladys Wanjiku, Phyllis Njeri, the late Mary Wangari, Ruth Wanjiru, the late Martha Nyambura, Freshia Wambaire, the late Geoffrey Kangerecha, Evan Mbutu, Edward Karira & Margaret Wangui. She was aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother to many.

Relatives and friends are meeting at Dr. Kairu’s residence daily, starting from 5.00pm in SD 66, Stream Drive, Thome Estate, there is also meetings ongoing daily at her home in Kiyu.

The cortege leaves Muriranjas Hospital Mortuary on Saturday 8th October, 2022 at 9.00am. The funeral service will be take place at St. Luke ACK Kiyu Church at 10.00am and later proceed to her final resting place at her home, Kiyu village, Mugoiri, Githagara location, Muranga county.

Special thanks goes to Dr Bernard Gitura – Consultant Cardiologist KNH, Dr. James Kamau Kahura-Consultant Physician/Nephrologist Murang’a County Referral Hospital, Mercy Wambui Mwangi -Murang’a County Referral Hospital, for attending to our mum even at odd hours.

We thank God for your life. In his hands you rest, in our hearts you live forever.
