It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we the family and the organizing committee announce the promotion to glory of the late Joshua Dismas Omoth Ooko of Gwassi Lak Nyiero Suba South, Homa Bay county which occurred on 15/07/2018. He was the Former Administrator of Central Organization of the Trade Union of Kenya (COTU), former Councilor Kaloleni and former Personal Secretary in the office of the late Thomas Joseph Mboya Ndiege.

Son of the late Sylvanus Ooko and the late Abigael Nyang’or. He was the second born in a family of seven and five step siblings. Husband of the late Hellen Omundo Omoth and Consolata Aludo. Father of the late Manan Achieng’ Rabach, the late Lilian Atieno Omoth, Vivian Adhiambo Onditi, Patrick Lumumba Omoth, Kevin Ooko, Gordon Mboya, Kendas Achieng’, Cynthia Aura, Samantha Adhiambo, Joyce Atieno and the late Maureen Atieno.

Father-in-law of Violet Amino Lumumba, Salome Namachania Ooko. Grandfather of Tom Rabach, Audrey Atieno, Robert Onditi, Lillian Onditi, Blaise Onditi, Marian Lumumba, Hellen Lumumba, Joshua Lumumba, Zolani Lumumba, Joshua Dismas lumor. Great-grandfather of Kenneth Irungu Kageni. Brother of the late Mariko Ooko, Paul Olola, Saka, Anganga, Widu,Abel, Perez and the late Grace. Father-in-Law of Dalmas Rabach and Julius Osingo.

Funeral arrangements are being held daily at his home in California Estate Block B3-5.

Main Harambee will take place on Wednesday 1/8/2018 at the Maxwell SDA Church (Central SDA) Ndovu Hall from 4.00pm.

The cortege leaves Chiromo Mortuary on 5th August 2018 followed by burial ceremony on 6th August 2018 at his Home in Gwassi.

May the Almighty father rest his soul in eternal peace.
