Joyce Khatenje O’kubasu
7th August, 1982 – 18 May, 2022
It is with profound sadness and acceptance of God’s Will that we announce the sudden promotion to glory of Joyce Khatenje O’Kubasu on 18th May, 2022.
Joyce was the beloved daughter of Hon. Rtd. Justice Emmanuel O’Kubasu and Helen O’Kubasu. She was the loving sister to John, Junia, Julius and Jerusha. Joyce was a doting Aunt to Haley (USA), Paula, Sean, Mutai and Aaliyah.
Joyce was a beloved niece to the late Anzaya, the late Otuko, the late Shikungu, the late Dorcas and Felecia as well as the late John, the late Leah and Hosea.
Joyce was granddaughter to our departed grandparents – Harton and Yunia O’Kubasu; and Julius and Jerusa Aromi.
Family and friends are meeting daily at the family home in Ridgeways – Nairobi from 4.00pm.
There will be a viewing of the body on Thursday 26th May, 2022, at Umash Funeral Home between 9:00 a.m and 10:00am. This will be followed by a memorial service at All Saints Cathedral starting at 12 noon.
Joyce will be laid to rest at her father’s Cherengany farm on Saturday 28th May, 2022 in Kachibora Mito Mbili, Trans Nzoia County.

It is with sadness to get the news of the demise of Joyce Okubasu. The time of going to glory is one that we have no control, for it is determined by the Almighty the creator. We pray for the Okubasu family for comfort and that the Lord will grant them grace to go through this time of mourning.
