Joyce Muthoni Gatungu (Waking’ori)

It is with humble acceptance to Gods will that we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved mother Joyce Muthoni Gatungu (waking’ori) of Nyeri County, Mukurwe-ini, Kaheti Village, Kangoru.

Loving wife of the late Charles Gatungu Theuri. Daughter of the late Moses Kingori Kahuho and Florence Nyambura Kingori. Beloved mother of Nyambura Mugambi (Nki), James Gatungu (KNBS Nrb), Joseph Kingori (Nki),Amos Kaburu (Nyahururu), Evah Wambui (Nki), George Kahuho (Nki), Florence Wanjiru (Nrb), Alice Wamuyu (Kaheti). Sister of Mumbi, Wambui, Mwangi, Patrick Kingori, Ndirangu, Gladys, Anderson, Wamuyu, Nyaguthii, Mbuiya, Antony Maina, Kagure, Njogu and Ndururi. Cousin of Rose Wanjohi (KRA) among others, aunt and grandmother of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Hot Dishes Hotel, Bruce House near Holy Basillica Nairobi, Ibis hotel Nanyuki and at her home Kaheti Village-Kangoru for prayers and burial preparations. There shall be a fundraiser at Sagas Hotel along Thika Road on Friday 25th August 2017 starting at 5.00 pm and also at Nanyuki Primary School on Sunday 27th August 2017 starting at 2.00 pm to offset medical bill and cover funeral expenses. Burial date shall be on 29th August 2017.
