Joyce Wamuhu Mungai

5th May, 1938 — 5th August, 2023

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the transition to glory of Joyce Wamuliu Mungai, on Saturday 5th August 2023 at Nairobi Hospital after a short illness.

Joyce was the daughter of the late Wambaa Waiyaki and the late Nyangui Wambaa.

Loving wife to Parmenas Mungai Mwaura. Caring mother to the late Ken Mwaura and the late Betty Mwaura, Alex Wambaa and Stella Wambaa, John Kinuthia and Annie Kinuthia, and David Waiyaki.

Daughter-in-law of the late Douglas Mwaura Kiarie and the late Salome Njoki Mwaura.

Sister to late George Waiyaki, the late Wanja Matindi, the late Danson Muchugia and the late Lawrence Regeru.

Loving grandmother to Kevin Mwaura, Joyce Mwaura, Ivy Wambaa, Ida Wambaa, Eva Wambaa, Ryan Kinuthia, Trudie Kinuthia and Mungai Waiyaki. Great grandmother to Sienna Nyambura.

The funeral meetings will take place on Monday 7th August to Wednesday 9th August 2023 at PCEA Karen Church (next to The Hub) from 5.30pm.

Viewing of the body will take place at the Lee Funeral Home on Friday 11th August 2023 from 7.00 a.m. The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home at 8.30 a.m. for the funeral service at PCEA Karen Church at 10.00 a.m. Thereafter the burial will take place at her home in Kanyongo Village, Lower Kabete, Kiambu County.
