With utmost humility and appreciation of God’s will, we, the family of the late Gituma announce the transition to glory of our dear Mom; Judith Kinanu Gituma, who went to be with the Lord on Sunday 03/09/2023 at Karen Hospital, Nairobi.She was born in 1950 in Gaturi Village, Chure, Imenti South, Meru County.
Daughter of the late M’Nkuene Rubuca and the late Zipporah Ncurubi of Gaturi Village. Daughter-in-law to late Andrew M’Muchiri and late Hellen M’Muchiri.
Beloved wife to the late Mwalimu James Gituma Nabea of Kithoka, Meru. Mother to Catherine Karuru (Kithoka), Evelyn Kiende (Kithoka), Glory Kendi (Texas, USA), Josephine Gakii (Nakuru), Titus Kiriinya (Kithoka) and Henry Murithi (Oklahoma, USA).
Sister to the late Grace Mwitiabi and the late Japhet Majau of Ithimbari, Meru.
Sister-in-law to Florence Majau, the late Kiome Geoffrey, Moses and Kathure Mwirigi (Minnesota, USA), Julius and Jane Muriiki, Peter and Gladys M’Murithi, Mary Makena, Dorothy Karithoni, the late Joyce Kinya, the late Janet Kathure, the late Bessy Karamana, the late Alice Kananu, and the late Ruth Karoki.
Mother-in-law to Aaron Muroria (Kithoka), Johnson Aranda (Texas, USA), Melissa Moy (Oklahoma, USA), and Koome Muriuki (Nakuru).
Grandmother to Bryan Kimathi (Oklahoma, USA), Mutethia Alvin,Wayne Kendi (Texas, USA), Alloyse Munene (Nakuru), James “JJ” Gituma (Oklahoma, USA), Allan Nabea (Nakuru), Daryl Gituma (Texas, USA), Delbert “DJ” Johnson (Texas, USA), Comfort Kawira (Kithoka), James Muguna (Kithoka) and Albert Mwirigi (Nakuru);Tracy Nkatha (Kithoka), Mercy Gacheri (Kithoka), and Grace Kinya (Kithoka). Great-grandmother to Prince Markos Munene (Kithoka).
Family and friends are meeting at her home in Kithoka Village, Meru, and in Edmond, Oklahoma and Palestine,Texas, US.
The cortege leaves Meru Funeral Home in Meru Town on Wednesday 13/09/2023 or funeral service at Chabuene Methodist Church. The burial ceremony will be held that same day at her home in Kithoka, Meru County.
